For the past 15 years, Santa Barbara Studio Artists’ Open Studios Tour has become a don’t-miss event for hundreds of art enthusiasts from all over California and beyond. This year, for the 16th Annual Tour, SBSA is happy to debut a new partnership with The Distinctive Art Gallery, a contemporary, sophisticated and spacious venue centrally located on State Street in downtown Santa Barbara. Interested tour-goers can preview the work of all participating artists at the preview exhibition mounted at The Distinctive Art Gallery during the month of August.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online, http://www.santabarbarastudioartists.com/ . At The Distinctive Gallery during the preview exhibit, the Friday reception or during the tour. Or at any of the artists’ studios.
Any profit made from ticket sales is donated to a humanitarian cause. This year the beneficiary will be The William Sansum Diabetes Center.
Attendance at the tour has been growing year after year, and the 16th Annual Tour, with its sophisticated new downtown hub and roster of great artists, seems poised to be the best ever. It’s an opportunity to explore Santa Barbara from an insider’s viewpoint. Use the map we provide to investigate off-the-beaten-path locations from the funk zone to the hills of Montecito. Discover really great artists and experience their process in their studio environment.
