Summer Solstice Celebration
Downtown Santa Barbara
The largest arts event in Santa Barbara County, the Solstice Parade is an over-the-top fun fest. Exuberantly decorated non-motorized floats, and more than 1,000 imaginatively costumed participants, bands, dance, and drum ensembles parade up State Street from the waterfront to Alameda Park. The festivities continue on Saturday through Sunday, following the parade at Alameda Park. Enjoy live music, delicious food and beverages, arts and much more fun for the entire family.
Opening Ceremony: Friday, June 23
4:00-5:30 PM: 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love – DJ Darla Bea, $4 Happy Hour, $5 Tasty Bites curated by Cultivate Events, honoring local nonprofits serving our community
5:30-9:00 PM: Zephan and The Tribe, World Dance for Humanity, Soulstice Sol All-Star Band
Parade: Saturday, June 24
12:00 PM: begins at State St. & Cota St. and the festivities end at Alameda Park
Saturday, June 24, 12:00-8:00 PM and Sunday, June 25, 12:00-6:00 PM
Live music, DJ’s, beer and wine garden, arts and crafts vendors, great good, family creativity zone, mural and art exhibits, youth music stage
Children’s Parade: Unity Under the Sea, on Sunday at 2:00 PM
