Two Door Cinema Club, continue to travel the world playing to sold out arena crowds, from Mexico to Japan, from Australia to the US and beyond, taking their new music to ecstatic live audiences; a testament to the unabated passion of their ever-growing legions of fans.
Recorded in Topanga Canyon, California with renowned producer Jacknife Lee (REM, U2, Bloc Party), Gameshow sees the band challenge themselves to indulge in a wide and varied range of styles and influences, stretching way beyond the traditional Two Door sound to take in the likes of Prince, Chic, Krautrock, Bowie, Neo Soul and modernist pop. The new album exhibits the sound of a band back in their stride, with a creative fire in their loins and a whole new centered sense of purpose.
There has been the tinge of fate to Grouplove since the beginning, when its five original members met at an arts colony on the island of Crete and formed such an immediately comfortable bond — both personally and musically — that they started the band upon their return to LA in 2010.
Grouplove continues to mature on Big Mess, which demonstrates their ever sharper instincts as songwriters and their growing ability to make a bright, bold, genre-defying sound that is entirely their own. The band members say they feel most inspired when they’re collaborating on new ideas with a completely open mind.
