Free Old Town Walking Tour

Feb. 28 - March 29, 2024

10 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.

Combining history with architecture, this tour covers the lower blocks of State Street, the transition of Old Town from 1850 to the present day, the events that ushered the Spanish-Colonial style of architecture, the historic Brinkerhoff Victorian District, and finally, three of Jeff Shelton’s residential buildings: Pistachio, El Andaluz, and Ablitt, some of the most visited buildings in Santa Barbara. An impressive binder of 11 x 17 old photos helps place you back in time.

The tour, just short of 2 hours, starts at the Paseo Nuevo Mall (700 block of State St).  “Two for One” beer or wine tasting vouchers given to all tour goers; redeemable at Validation Ale or Santa Barbara Winery.

This tour is held on the following dates:
February: 22, 26 and 28
March: 5, 12, 16, 20, 29

Reservations required. Click here to check availability and make your reservation.

The tour is free, but a gratuity is appreciated.
