Free Waterfront Walking Tour

Explore the history of Santa Barbara’s waterfront during this 1 hour and 45 minute guided tour that takes in 11 stops.  The Waterfront tour is especially popular with those new to or unfamiliar with Santa Barbara.  The tour starts on the steps of the Maritime Museum (113 Harbor Wy).  We cover topics as the discovery of the Channel Islands, the construction of the harbor, early bath houses, Sambos Restaurant, Potter Hotel, Dolphin Fountain and Stearns Wharf, Moreton Bay Fig tree and so much more. An impressive binder of 11 x 17 old photos helps place you back in time.  

The tour ends at the Amtrak Station, adjacent to the Funk Zone. “Two for One” beer or wine tasting vouchers given to all tour goers; redeemable at Validation Ale or Santa Barbara Winery.
