The story of forbidden love between Giselle, a peasant girl, and Albrecht, a nobleman. When she dies of a broken heart, she joins the ghosts of other spurned women who attempt to haunt the men who broke their hearts. Because of Albrecht’s true love for Giselle, he is spared the haunting and Giselle is spared having to haunt him and men like him for eternity.
