Santa Barbara Vocal Jazz Foundation presents “Journey Through Jazz!” featuring Santa Barbara Charter School on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 7:15 PM. In our ‘Journey through Jazz!’ residency program, students are taken on a musical and narrative trek from early Dixieland to today’s Fusion jazz, while learning basic singing and performance skills, jazz terms, American jazz history, and ethnic/music diversity. The residency closes with a school assembly and performance, and a FREE public concert at the historic Lobero Theatre! Journey Though Jazz is funded in part by The John C. Mithun Foundation Community Access Fund, the Children’s Creative Project, and the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation.
