East Beach Pavilion Beach near the 1926 landmark Cabrillo Pavilion hosts ceremonies and receptions for up to 100. For larger gatherings, the Cabrillo Pavilion Event Center blends historical charm with a coastal horizon, accommodating 200 guests. Along with its signature Spanish Revival aesthetic, a reservation grants exclusive use of the beach directly in front of the venue.
Leadbetter beach
For a seaside ceremony without sandy toes, the Leadbetter Ceremony Area features a grassy, manicured lawn framed by a crown of palms and the Pacific’s white-capped waves. Located between the Santa Barbara Harbor and Shoreline Park, this west-end gem hosts up to 60 of your closest friends and family. Visit the Parks and Recreation wedding website to check availability from 12 to 18 months in advance, depending on the location, and to submit an application for a permit. Applications require event details, including estimated guest counts, event duration and plans for amplified sound, food and alcohol. The city also asks for an optional description of proposed decorations and setup.

Obtain a Marriage License

Then, visit the Santa Barbara County Clerk-Recorder’s office together within seven days to finalize the paperwork and purchase your license. Once the license is issued, it remains valid for 90 days, giving you three months to tie the knot.
