Experience one of California’s most beloved cultural festivals during the 89th annual Solvang Danish Days, a three-day celebration of Danish heritage just a short drive from Santa Barbara. Throughout the weekend, the charming Danish-inspired village comes alive with parades, live music, folk dancing, traditional food, and family-friendly activities honoring the town’s founding by Danish Americans in 1911.
Festival favorites include fresh æbleskiver, a Danish-style beer and wine garden featuring Carlsberg and local wines, artisan vendors, interactive exhibits at the Elverhøj Museum of History & Art, Viking-inspired activities, and Hans Christian Andersen storytelling. Admission is free, with select ticketed experiences, including the popular æbleskiver breakfasts and “Dane for a Day” VIP package, available in advance.
