Palettes of color and culture come together for three days each spring at Old Mission Santa Barbara. Watch street painters transform Mission plaza using pastels on pavement to create over 150 vibrant and colorful large-scale images.
For eight glorious weeks, enjoy classical music by young artists, distinguished faculty, and guest performers. Chamber ensembles, orchestra performances, master classes, and opera take place at Miraflores, where pre-concert picnics amid the lush gardens are a favorite local tradition.
The largest arts event in Santa Barbara County, the Solstice Parade is an over-the-top fun fest. Exuberantly decorated non-motorized floats, 1,000 imaginatively costumed participants, bands, dance, and drum ensembles parade up State Street from the waterfront to Alameda Park.
Wineries large and small show off their wares at the outdoor California Wine Festival, a three-day celebration. On Saturday, join the beachside festivities for a showcase of some 250 wines from 70 wineries, and the offerings of noted chefs, food purveyors, and wine-related vendors.
Each year the Santa Barbara French Festival returns to Oak Park to celebrate Bastille Day and all the things that make the French cultural history so rich. Great food, wine, mimosas, crepes, delicious pastries, music and dance!
