Amtrak Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara Amtrak Lines
Santa Barbara is served by two Amtrak lines: the multi-state Coast Starlight line and the southern California Pacific Surfliner line.
The Coast Starlight route connects Seattle and Los Angeles, winding through Portland, the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento and Santa Barbara. The train features sleeping and dining car accommodations,coach and business class,as well as a Sightseer Lounge Car. This unique car is equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide the ideal vantage point to take in the scenery along the iconic Coast Starlight route, from lush valleys to shimmering shoreline. Sleeping car passengers also have access to the Pacific Parlour Car, a lounge car used exclusively on the Coast Starlight route.
The Pacific Surfliner route hugs the southern California coast from San Luis Obispo to San Diego, with many stops along the way, including Santa Barbara, Ventura, Anaheim and Los Angeles. Amenities aboard the Pacific Surfliner include a Café Car, free power and Wi-Fi, bicycle and surfboard racks and a Business Class option that offers extra legroom and complimentary refreshments.
Santa Barbara Train Station
The Santa Barbara Amtrak station is located in downtown Santa Barbara, a short walk or shuttle ride from many hotels and attractions, and just a half mile from gift shops, restaurants and a marine museum at Stearns Wharf. To make it even easier to get around, the Transit Transfer Program allows you to connect to local public transit for free by showing your Pacific Surfliner train ticket.
The train station is fully staffed and features checked baggage service and assistance with baggage, an enclosed waiting area, restrooms, payphones, free short-term parking and wheelchair accessibility.
Santa Barbara Amtrak Schedule and Tickets
The Coast Starlight runs once daily in each direction and the Pacific Surfliner runs five times daily in each direction.
