California Dreamin’ with Heidi Klein

Visit Santa Barbara partnered with  prestigious U.K. luxury swimwear brand, Heidi Klein, as one of four Southern California destinations showcased in the designer’s California Collection, Resort Summer 2017. The collaboration included a line of swimwear inspired by the region, a fall launch event at Heidi Klein’s Chelsea store in London for key media outlets, and an in-store brochure on the destinations. In November, VSB hosted a FAM trip and photo shoot in Santa Barbara for six top U.K. fashion and lifestyle bloggers and designer Heidi Gosman, who have a combined 2.98 million Instagram followers. As a result of the visit, destination-specific posts have generated more than 856K+ likes and 2.7K comments to date, with more content to follow in 2017. Revive and Thrive Retail Promotion: Last Call for Participation!

All Visit Santa Barbara members are invited to participate in the “Revive and Thrive” off-season retail promotion running January 16 through March 31, 2017 in support of the new “Miss Nothing” campaign. The promotion is designed to help drive mid-week bookings and overnight visitation during the off-season and provide additional exposure to hospitality partners. The deadline to sign up is nearing. Mark your calendars for 2017 Travel Outlook

Visit Santa Barbara’s annual travel forecasting event will be held at the Cabrillo Arts Pavilion on January 20 at 8:30 a.m. Keynote speaker and travel trend expert Peter Yesawich, Ph.D., principal of industry insights at MMGY Global, Inc., will present on top insights and trends impacting the leisure travel industry. Other topics include 2017 lodging forecasts as well as trends for the burgeoning Chinese visitor market. A separate email invitation will be sent to members and industry partners soon.
