Celebrate the music of James Taylor through the voices of Santa Barbara’s own musicians in an evening that blends legendary songwriting with local artistry. Artists Omar Velasco, Celeigh Chapman, Mendeleyev, Will Breman, and Jess Bush perform beloved songs such as Carolina in My Mind, Fire and Rain, and Country Road in newly reimagined arrangements, accompanied by The Santa Barbara Symphony under the direction of Music and Artistic Director Nir Kabaretti.
Each performer will also share an original song inspired by the spirit and storytelling of James Taylor, creating a musical bridge between his timeless catalog and the contemporary voices shaping Santa Barbara’s music scene. The second annual concert continues a growing local tradition celebrating collaboration, creativity, and the region’s vibrant musical community.
