The can’t-miss parade, on June 24, treats attendees to exuberantly decorated non-motorized floats, 1,000 imaginatively costumed participants, bands, dance, and drum ensembles as it makes its way up State Street from the waterfront to Alameda Park, where the party continues with more music, food, and arts-and-crafts booths. Not only is Summer Solstice an over-the-top fun-fest, it’s the largest arts event in Santa Barbara County, drawing 100,000 spectators.
Watch as five contestants battle their mixology skills in a live competition to be crowned winner of the “Official Drink of Santa Barbara”. Held at the historic El Paseo Restaurant, cheer along your favorites and sip to an evening of good fun.
