As part of the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience, The Cultured Abalone Farm invites guests to a 1.5-hour walking tour guided by an abalone farmer, where you’ll experience the entire process of raising abalone—from hatchery to harvest—up close and personal (yes, you can hold the abalone!) and learn about seaweed culturing and urchin ranching along the way.
These special tours include a tasting of abalone prepared by Chef Paul Osborne of Santa Barbara Fish Market, paired with rice and seaweed salad, and complemented by wine poured by local winemakers (featured winemakers TBA). A portion of the proceeds benefits the Santa Barbara Culinary Experience in partnership with The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts.
