Join Maria Cabrera and Elise Tripp for an evening of historical flavors and stories at the Santa Barbara Mission. Guests will taste foods celebrating both Chumash and Mexican cultures while learning about daily life during the Mission Era through recipes, personal recollections, and lively conversation. Maria, a retired teacher and longtime Mission volunteer, shares her deep knowledge of the parish, museum, and archives, while Elise, a member of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, offers insights from her family’s traditions of growing, gathering, and preparing food with care and love.
