Music Academy teaching artists and emerging performers come together for an evening of chamber music featuring expressive Romantic works and vibrant ensemble performances. Showcasing both celebrated faculty artists and rising talent, the program highlights the depth, collaboration, and artistry at the heart of the Festival.
The evening opens with Arthur Foote’s atmospheric Night Piece, followed by selections from Max Bruch’s Eight Pieces for Clarinet, Viola, and Piano featuring Richie Hawley, Cynthia Phelps, and Jonathan Feldman. The concert concludes with Mendelssohn’s exhilarating Octet in E-flat Major, Op. 20, performed by the Takács Quartet alongside the Maple Quartet, the Festival’s Emerging Artists String Quartet.
