Seimandi & Leprieur Gallery presents Another Room, its first exhibition dedicated entirely to photography, featuring Los Angeles-based German photographer Michael EB Detto.
Another Room explores architecture as a vessel for abstraction, memory and psychological experience. Rather than documenting buildings through conventional perspectives, Detto seeks unexpected viewpoints, fragmented structures and visual relationships that transform familiar urban environments into ambiguous, often disorienting spaces. His architectural triptychs further reimagine these environments, creating compositions where memory, perception and personal association intersect.
Detto’s practice also explores the relationship between language and imagery, incorporating short written fragments as poetic gestures that subtly shift the mood and perception of his photographs. With an interdisciplinary background spanning the humanities, art history, cinema and photography, Detto has exhibited internationally throughout the United States, Europe and Southeast Asia.
