Just a short drive from Santa Barbara, Solvang is getting into the spooky spirit with harvest festivities, Halloween happenings and seasonal activities popping up throughout the village all October long.
Returning for its second year, Spirits of Solvang brings together the Solvang Scarecrow Fest, Spooky Food & Wine Trail, festive lighting in Solvang Park, ghost tours and a lineup of special events throughout the month.
Highlights include The Nightmare Before Christmas under the stars during Spooktacular Cinema in the Park, the Wicked Wheels Viking Classic Car Show, a paranormal investigation at Solvang Festival Theater, the Kids & Pets Costume Parade and Fall Festival, Adults’ Trick-or-Treating at participating wineries, and the 32nd annual Solvang Haunted House.
The nearby Solvang Farmer Pumpkin Patch will also be open daily through Halloween, featuring a more than 12-acre corn maze, kiddie maze and special nighttime corn maze dates.
Whether stopping by for family-friendly fall fun, seasonal food and wine or something a little spookier after dark, visitors will find plenty of reasons to make the quick trip from Santa Barbara throughout October.
