Just a short drive from Santa Barbara, Solvang transforms into a festive Danish-inspired holiday village for Julefest, with seasonal celebrations, twinkling lights and special events happening from November 27 through January 3.
Signature festivities include the Solvang Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 4 and Julefest Parade on December 5, along with Wednesday Maker’s Markets inspired by traditional European night markets, Candlelight Tours, Christmas carolers and the Solvang Trolley Christmas Light Tour.
Each evening, Solvang Park comes to life with an on-the-hour Light & Music Show from 5–9 p.m. Families can also search throughout town for mischievous Danish elves during the Nisser Adventure, visit Santa’s Village for weekend photos with Santa and enjoy other seasonal activities throughout the celebration.
The festivities continue through New Year’s Eve with Copenhagen Countdown, an afternoon celebration on December 31 from 2–4 p.m.
