Founded in 1983, the Architectural Foundation of Santa Barbara is a public non-profit charitable corporation whose mission is to support and provide programs that promote education about the importance of art, architecture, and design excellence. The Architecture Foundation of Santa Barbara features the following activities:

  • Walking Tours – every Saturday, Sunday at 10 AM and available upon request 
  • Art Gallery – featuring artists, architects, and designers whose work speaks to the mission of AFSB
  • Kids Draw Architecture – free sketch sessions facilitated by local artists, architects, and designers
  • Scholarships
  • Events & Lectures
  • High School Design Competition
  • Built Environment Education Program – brings architects into the elementary school classroom
