Learn to sail, charter a sailboat with a captain, rent a variety of sail boats, or enroll in a Liveaboard Instructional Vacation to the world-famous Channel Islands National Park. We also offer a wide variety of public cruises on our 50 foot Catamaran during which you’ll experience an array of marine life as well as spectacular views of the coastline. Regardless of your boating needs, there’s something fun for all ages at the Santa Barbara Sailing Center!
Double Dolphin Catamaran:
We offer Coastal, Harbor, and Sunset Cruises year-round, and have a variety of specialty cruises offered throughout the year. Our most popular specialty cruises include Whale Watching, Music on the Water, and Sipping on the Sea.
Channel Islands Getaways:
Take advantage of our big, blue backyard with a Channel Islands Getaway. Our Coast Guard licensed Captains will help you plan a multi-day excursion that includes activities such as surfing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, hiking, beach lounging, snorkeling, SCUBA diving, free diving, sea cave exploration, day sailing or just hanging out and enjoying the beautiful anchorages within the islands.
Charter your own private boat:
Planning a team event, birthday celebration, bachelorette party, or a gathering with your crew? Let the sea be the stage for your special moments aboard the Double Dolphin (49 passengers maximum). For a more intimate party, our Catalina Yachts (6 passengers maximum) are the perfect fit. Pick the yacht size and we will provide you with a US Coast Guard Licensed Captain. You can simply enjoy the views or feel free to help captain your ship.
Kayak & SUP:
A kayak or stand-up paddleboard gets you up-close and personal with the Santa Barbara Harbor and beyond. Our staff will assist in launching you from our kayak and stand-up paddleboard launch docks. Life jackets and paddles are included in the pricing of all rentals, and everyone participating must be a strong swimmer.
Learn how to sail:
Awaken the active sailing spirit in you through our highly accredited American Sailing Association (ASA) programs. Our unique class structure is designed to offer the inspiration and information to form the foundation for a lifetime of sailing adventures.
We also offer Liveaboard Instructional Packages. These award-winning semi-private courses enable you to combine multiple ASA certifications while living aboard a Catalina Yacht, eliminating the need for hotel expenditures. During your Liveaboard Instructional Vacation, you’re able to transition from a total novice to a recognized “Bareboat Charterer”, capable of multiple day charters anywhere in the world with you as the captain! One of the unique aspects of this program is that there is a 2-student maximum at each certification level. This translates into a ton of helm time and attention from your instructor.
