The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (NAPF) presents its 2026 Women Waging Peace Luncheon, honoring Katrina vanden Heuvel and Annie Jacobsen with the Women Waging Peace Award. The annual award recognizes extraordinary women whose work has advanced peace, justice and a world free of nuclear weapons.
Katrina vanden Heuvel is editor and publisher of The Nation and a longtime journalist and commentator on U.S. and international politics, peace and security. Annie Jacobsen is a Pulitzer Prize finalist and New York Times bestselling author whose reporting explores war, weapons, government secrecy and national security, including her 2024 book Nuclear War: A Scenario.
Founded in Santa Barbara in 1982, the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to education and advocacy for a just and peaceful world free of nuclear weapons.
