Discover how California native plants can create a beautiful, functional and water-wise home garden, whether the goal is a naturalistic wildlife habitat or a cottage, contemporary or traditional landscape.

Led by landscape designer Billy Goodnick, this classroom-based workshop explores the steps professional designers use to plan gardens that balance aesthetics, everyday use and sustainability.

Goodnick served as Santa Barbara’s City Landscape Architect for 22 years and now specializes in sustainable residential landscape design and coaching. He has taught at Santa Barbara City College and with Master Gardeners, and his work has appeared in Garden Design, Sunset, Fine Gardening and 805 Living.
