Going Batty at the Nature Center

Aug. 7 - 30, 2025

7:20 p.m. - 8:20 p.m.

Recurring weekly on Thursday, Friday, Saturday

This weekly summer program invites visitors to learn about and observe local wild bats in their natural habitat. . Two bat boxes at the Nature Center serve as seasonal homes for the bats, which are most active during the warmer months and typically emerge about 30 minutes after sunset. This living exhibit includes a docent-led talk and Q&A, followed by bat viewing from the Native Garden as they drop from the boxes to feed. Visitors are asked to keep a respectful distance and avoid using lights or loud noises.

Program times vary by week depending on the time of sunset. Meet at the front entrance of the Nature Center.

Admission cost is donation based.
