Young explorers ages 8–13 can discover the surprising world of seeds during a hands-on Backcountry Pathfinders program at Santa Barbara Botanic Garden. From seeds that fly to those that dig themselves into the ground, participants will investigate the unique structures and adaptations that help seeds travel, grow and survive.
Each Pathfinder will choose a native wildflower seed to plant and take home while building skills and learning how to care for the natural world.
The program is free with Garden admission, and advance registration is required. Parents or guardians must remain on Garden grounds for the duration of the program.
