Close out the season with a Sunday afternoon of ballet and live music as State Street Ballet and the Santa Barbara Symphony share the stage at The Granada Theatre for an exciting triple bill.
The program brings together Brahms’ Symphony No. 3 performed by the Santa Barbara Symphony, a world premiere by choreographers Nilas Martins and Megan Philipp set to Samuel Barber’s String Quartet No. 1 in B Minor, and George Balanchine’s Slaughter on Tenth Avenue, a bold, theatrical ballet set to Richard Rodgers’ jazzy score.
Santa Barbara Symphony Music & Artistic Director Nir Kabaretti leads the orchestra.
A Saturday evening performance will also be offered May 22 at 7:30 p.m.
