Hotels throughout Santa Barbara are open and eager to welcome you back to our beautiful city as soon as you’re ready to visit. To address guests’ health and safety concerns, many of our local hotels and inns have secured a new Clean & Safe Certification from the California Hotel & Lodging Association. Clean & Safe Program
The Clean & Safe Certification requires hotels to implement more than 20 protocols that cover the health and safety of guests and hotel staff, as well as additional cleaning and sanitation guidelines for individual rooms and common areas across the property. From adding prominent signage that encourages social distancing to increasing the cleaning frequency of common areas, these protocols guide hotels in demonstrating special attention to detail and an above-and-beyond approach to keeping guests and staff safe and healthy.
It’s a special time to visit Santa Barbara. In fact, the city has made some unique adjustments to promote the health and safety of visitors and locals alike. Our main thoroughfare, State Street, has become a pedestrian-only promenade between Sola and Gutierrez streets, making it fun and easy to patronize local businesses on foot or on bike. Outdoor yoga classes abound and wineries are offering outdoor wine tastings. Santa Barbara also continues to be a haven for outdoor activities (both of the relaxing and adrenaline-pumping variety) and there are dozens of al fresco dining experiences accompanied by spectacular views.
