This collaborative exhibition explores the intersection of art and environmental stewardship, highlighting efforts to conserve the Devereux Slough and the surrounding North Campus Open Space. Through landscape paintings and nature-inspired works, artists from the Oak Group capture the beauty and ecological richness of these restored habitats, showing how art can document, interpret, and inspire care for the natural world.

Presented in partnership with the UCSB Cheadle Center for Biodiversity & Ecological Restoration and Coal Oil Point Reserve, the exhibition reflects a shared commitment to protecting local ecosystems. Since 1986, the Oak Group has combined art and conservation, raising awareness and funds for open space preservation through plein air exhibitions that celebrate California’s landscapes.
