EVENTS AND FESTIVALS

The Santa Barbara Studio Artists’ 2025 Open Studios Tour returns on Labor Day weekend (Aug.20 -Sept. 1). For four memorable days, artists, gallery owners and art students will open their studios for patrons to discuss and appreciate the art pieces displayed in each gallery along the way. Pints for the Park returns on Sept. 6 with over 20 Central Coast craft beverage purveyors, food trucks, DJ sets by Darla Bea, lawn games, and exclusive merch — all in support of the nation’s largest privately funded park, Elings Park. Admission includes a souvenir glass.

On Sept. 13-14, discover the unique charm of the Santa Barbara Sea Glass & Ocean Arts Festival, a vibrant coastal event cherished for its local artist collaborations, green initiatives, and inclusive appeal to sea glass enthusiasts, collectors and admirers.

Sept. 26-27, catch the annual Santa Barbara Surf Film Festival at Lobero Theatre. Celebrating the history of surfing a storytelling of surf legends, this event is the perfect blend of art and coastal Californian culture.

Sept. 27, Farmer & The Flea debuts Rescue Rhythms at Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, a benefit concert raising awareness and funds to create a cage-free sanctuary for rescued dogs. Inspired by the spirit of the Farmer & The Flea Market, the event features live music by singer-songwriter Trevor Hall, local food, interactive activities and soulful, animal-focused experiences. Proceeds will help build a healing refuge that includes not only safe space for animals but also a dedicated yoga and meditation area for humans.

This year, the Goleta Lemon Festival will fall on Sept. 27-28 for a family-friendly weekend at Girsh Park packed with games, a bounce house, obstacle courses, pie-eating contests, a classic car show and more.
